ECO-FASHION: RECYCLED DESIGNS

I am a huge fan of all the eco-fashion designers that are debuting their lines on the runway. Some people find it hard to understand how clothing can contribute to saving the earth but there is a very good explanation as to how a garment does so. The use of sustainable fabrics such as organic cotton, bamboo, and hemp save consumers money in the long run because of their durability. The biggest complaint is that the fabrics cost so much and therefore the prices are really high to sustain a growing collection. Most organic cotton is manufactured outside of the United States, one of the major concerns with people who shop organic is making sure what they buy was no produced in sweatshops. Supporting 'green' fashion is a top priority of mines because I have seen the immense talent within the industry. There are so many designers that create beautiful collections here are a few creatively constructed designs that I found interesting.
